The consultation
Your appointment, step by step
Every consultation is held in person, in London or Brisbane, one to one with Shann. The shape of the appointment is always the same; the discoveries are yours alone.
A warm welcome
You arrive exactly as you are: no makeup, no fake tan, no preparation beyond curiosity. Shann talks you through how the analysis works, asks what you hope to get from it, and answers anything on your mind before a single drape is lifted.
Reading your colouring
Shann studies your natural colouring in controlled light: the undertone of your skin, the depth and clarity of your eyes, the character of your hair, and how much contrast sits between them. These characteristics, hue, value, chroma and contrast, are the compass for everything that follows.
The draping
The heart of the appointment. Precision-dyed fabric drapes are held against you in deliberate pairs: warm against cool, deep against light, bright against muted. You watch in the mirror as the comparisons resolve, shadows softening under one colour, your eyes gaining definition under another. Nothing is asserted that you cannot see for yourself.
Your season revealed
The draping narrows to a single answer: your home season and your precise sub-season within the sixteen. Shann explains what makes the result yours, how your palette relates to its sister seasons, and where it can quietly borrow from its neighbours.
Making it yours
The final part of the appointment turns theory into a wardrobe: your hero colours, your best neutrals and metals, colour combinations that work together, and what to reach for instead of the shades that fight you. Any take-home palette or materials described in your service listing leave with you.

At ease
An experience, not an examination
Being looked at closely can feel exposing, and Shann understands that better than most; she spent years in front of cameras herself. Her consultations are deliberately built to feel like the opposite: kind, patient and entirely without judgement.
Nothing is rushed. Each drape is given the time it needs, each observation is explained as it happens, and every question is welcome, including the ones that begin with ‘this might sound silly, but’. You are not being assessed; you are being shown something rather lovely about yourself.
Most people arrive a little curious and a little nervous, and leave planning their next wardrobe with a photograph of themselves in their best colour.
Preparing
Before you arrive
A little preparation protects the accuracy of your analysis. Shann will send full guidance with your booking confirmation; the essentials are these.
Come as you are. Please arrive without makeup and without fake tan. Both can mask your natural undertone, which is the foundation of the whole analysis.
Hair. If your hair is coloured, that is entirely fine; simply come as you normally wear it. Significant changes planned for the days around your appointment are worth mentioning in advance.
Tell us what would help. If there are any accessibility requirements or adjustments that would help you feel comfortable, let Shann know before the appointment and she will do everything she reasonably can.

Living in your colours
Your palette is a guide, not a rulebook. Nothing in your result forbids you a colour you love; it simply shows you where harmony lives, and how to balance the colours that sit further from it.
You will leave knowing your home season and sub-season, your hero colours, your most flattering neutrals and metals, and how to put them to work: which coat, which denim, which white, and what to wear instead of black if black is not naturally yours.
Colours can appear different across lighting, fabric, dye batches and screens, so your take-home materials are designed for the real world of shopping, not the ideal conditions of the studio.
